New Music Festival in Edgewater
Chicago is known for its vibrant summer music festivals, and this year, the Edgewater neighborhood is set to debut the Edgewater Music Fest. Scheduled for September 5-7, this inaugural festival will feature over 35 live acts and 100 vendors along North Broadway, between Thorndale and Ardmore Avenues. Notable headliners include Laura Jane Grace, Ric Wilson, and Foxy Shazam, alongside a diverse lineup of local bands.
Garrett Karp, Executive Director of the Edgewater Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the community's desire for a unique festival experience, distinct from the typical offerings. He expressed enthusiasm about creating a lively environment that showcases local food and drinks while attracting visitors and boosting the local economy. The festival will operate from 5-10 pm on Friday and noon-10 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Although entry is free, a $10 donation is encouraged, and the event welcomes attendees of all ages, featuring a designated Kids' Zone for families.
